Media and Information Literacy in Nigeria

A two-day UNESCO train-the-trainers workshop on Media and Information Literacy (MIL) was held in Abuja, Nigeria. It focused on use of the Media and Information Literacy Curriculum for teachers. Yao Ydo, UNESCO Regional Director, Abuja, Nigeria, in his closing speech, advocated for including MIL in the school curriculum in Nigeria. According to NTA.org, Media and Information Literacy of Nigeria (MILCON) was also launched.
